Soumah of Yarra Valley

Soumah of Yarra Valley is a ‘hidden gem,’ located down a country lane, in the dress circle of the Warramate foothills of Gruyere, near Healesville.

The Yarra Valley cool climate focus allows Soumah to specialise in wine styles and varieties typical to Northern Italy as well as South Eastern France. Our Hexham vineyard on the Warramate Foothills is the main stay of production although we do look for small parcels of premium fruit from other vineyards to bring additional Single Vineyard wines to the market. Our most awarded wines are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, although we have gained recognition for Viognier and Syrah. We also have a passion for Northern Italian varieties with our Nebbiolo, Brachetto, Pinot Grigio and Savarro (Savagnin).

Trattoria d’Soumah, our northern-Italian style restaurant, offers fresh food, comfort and relaxation withpicturesque views of our vineyard. We are open for lunch 7 days a week. Closed only on Christmas Day & Boxing Day.

Also now serving ‘Merenda at Soumah’ on Saturdays and Sundays, 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Merenda is Italian for snack! After a long day of winery hopping in the Yarra Valley, these bites of sweet and savoury will tie you over. Of course, there is wine involved too! For more information, click here.
